How does one meet the needs of a living child?
Do they require a place to sleep?
Things to eat?
What else should be given to them?

The specifics depend on the creature but it's a safe bet to assume they all need to sleep, eat, and water for their physical needs. Though when it comes to food you need to be careful about what you give them.

Are you also helping out with the dragons, I take it?

I am impressed to have met a dragon.
I only heard about them very recently.
It looks... remarkably familiar to me.

A place to sleep, food, clean clothes, education, encouragement...

They also really like water slides and moderately sized lunches. [ Why is that so specific? ]

Streaking is when someone strips down naked and starts running around like that. It's usually to get attention and cause a scene.

Some people might just enjoy doing it though.

They require sleep, food and drink. They also require play. Depending on the age of the child, you may achieve success with games such as tag, or for a younger child, peekaboo.

[That makes her laugh a little.]

Right... Is that where you're from?

That's ok, I understand. People don't often wear clothes where I'm from either - but they're always indoors when they take them off. [ Mostly. ]

Hallownest is where I hail from, yes.
The child reminds me of a noble creature from there.
However if we go outside I will wrap them in my cloak so they are not naked.

[Lobco gingerly opens the door, first poking an antennas in before entering. Her eyes widen a little when she sees the mess that has been made of Hollow Knight's apartment.]

Goodness! [They sure had a messy one, didn't they? After overcoming her surprise she looks at the tiny dragon pressing against the vessel and smiles a little, then lifts her gaze up to Hollow Knight, smile brightening further.

It seemed like nothing had really changed, but so much had, hadn't it? Yet it would be a lie to say seeing them didn't make her even more giddy than before.

Instead of a wave, she made her way over to them to give them a quick hug in greeting before pulling away.]

It reminds me of the Wyrm.

[ The Hollow Knight did not have a physical heart (that belonged to their sibling), but the metaphorical one it had soared at the sight of Lobco. When she came over to embrace it, it reached down to wrap its free arm around her, never more glad that it had both arms once more.

The dragon swooped down to nibble on Lobco, and the Hollow Knight brought that hand up to snatch it out of the air. It chittered gleefully, bumping its multitude of horns against its hand, and then tried to gnaw at its thumb.

In answer to Lobco's question, the Hollow Knight nodded. ]

...What does this kid look like?

They are small, with white scales that seem to shine when the light touches them. They have a crown of horns atop their head that remind are reminiscent of the Wyrm of Hallownest, and sport sharp claws that they are indiscriminate about using when scaling my shell.

Scales and claws... That doesn't sound very child-like.

[ There's a slight pause before she sends another message because also: ]

You have a shell?
