Good afternoon, and happy new year, to those of you celebrating. I'm Gaku Yaotome, and this is Eichi Tenshouin.

[He gestures politely back to the blonde, who waves in a most idol-ish way.]

We're experienced idols and performers in our respective homes, and familiar with the workings of the entertainment industry here.

Normally you'd see us promoting our groups and our work, but we've decided to welcome the new year with some new ventures. We run a talent group called 3CLIPSE, under which we have three agencies that represent a number of off-world performers. Our goal is to secure a significant moonblessed foothold in the industry here, since we're at a disadvantage against the native entertainers.

If you're looking to expand on your current work, or if you're just an entertainment hopeful, we invite you to join us on the first working day of each week this month for open auditions. 3CLIPSE accepts all kinds of talent, from idols and actors to models and musicians, and even more unconventional types like comedians and illusionists. There's no experience necessary; you'll find audition requirements and directions to the studios in text to follow.

Inquiries for more information on the company are welcome. Tenshouin and myself will be around for the next few hours to answer any questions.

[He bows a bit, then straightens.]

[This one's a familiar face, Ren leaning back on his couch with a hand under his chin, manner cheerful and vapid as he tends to be in public.]

Oh, that should be interesting, there does seem to be a weirdly high number of talents among the Moonblessed...hopefully if you're sharing the leadership load, you're not going to be overworking yourself again, though.

[He smiles, putting a finger lightly to his lips.] If you need custom audiovisual supplies down the line, you can always come talk to me. I'm sure we can work out a deal.

[Gaku's face turns noticeably red for a moment, and he just blinks at the screen... Before clearing his throat. Time to be professional. Even if he's suddenly thinking about things that happened.]

There are more than you'd expect, so it'll be good to organize to help people advance their careers. Anyway, I'm... I'm leaning on the staff a little more now. You don't have to make a big deal out of it.

[Sigh. This guy.]

I want to know how you can make a business offer sound vaguely lewd.

Oh, you fluster nicely. [The hand under Ren's chin curls, and though his tone is perfectly innocent, his smile curves into something marginally more amused. He feels the need to point that out before addressing any of what Gaku actually said.]

It's a talent. But it's nice to hear you're spreading the workload out better now. I don't doubt your experience in your own industry, but actually running a business needs people you can rely on and a different set of skills.

[Ren had the sheer dumb luck to start up with someone who was far better at the administrative side of things than he is himself, so he knew what he had to focus on filling the gap on when he started his business here.]

Hey. Don't intentionally give me a hard time.

[Even if that's his MO and Gaku knows it. Shit. He's gotta be professional though, so he's just going to straighten up a bit and clear his throat.]

Yeah, I'm putting the right people in the right places, you don't have to worry about that. I... appreciate your assistance before, though. We'll keep up a solid business relationship.

[Ren rests his chin in his hands in a very "isn't that your problem?" kind of expression in answer to that first remark, but doesn't actually comment on it himself.]

I certainly hope so. There's plenty of Moonblessed in business here, but not all that many where the businesses are that compatible with what I do. Something like this seems like it could be interesting to get involved in, though.

[When he's already got specialists hired for various audiovisual things, it's somewhat of a parallel step to get involved in non-gaming entertainment.]

[Sir. Sir. You're a menace.

Gaku is trying so hard to keep his composure and not fly off the handle with embarrassment. The business talk helps.]

If you want to work with us more formally, I'm open to talking about it. I don't mind keeping you around in an advisory capacity; still, whatever people can offer to help us get a leg up, I'll take. And we can negotiate compensation.

[He means.]

Monetary.

I think Eichi-kun will serve you well on the business end of things, but if it turns out you need a little extra steering, feel free to come to me. Equipment is more what I'm offering right now.

[That said, he leans back with a brow arched in a perfectly curated questioning look, a touch of amusement behind it.]

I can't possibly imagine what other kind of compensation you think I'd be asking for, though.

I'm clarifying everything. People like you don't know when to quit on some things. That said, I do appreciate the help. I'm going to have to see what your inventory is like, but I'd like to do a pretty flashy live soon.

[He looks thoughtful.]

We've got enough people for that? Yeah. Or a variety show.

Maybe I should clarify too: I'd like to know what kind of person you think I am that I'd be asking for compensation in anything but money. You need to be careful about your phrasing and not just how clear you are.

[Ren assumes in this case it was an attempt to avoid teasing, otherwise he'd probably be distinctly unimpressed with the implication rather than just gently chiding.]

In any case, when it comes to sound and visual equipment, my company mainly takes custom orders, so it's not so much a matter of inventory as whether you come up with anything my staff can't handle. And we've gotten some...interesting requests.

[Gaku frowns. He hadn't realized it sounded quite that bad. Without Tenn in the general vicinity to scold him, he says all the wrong things with remarkable frequency. But wow, somehow this is worse than being scolded by Tenn...?]

...Sorry, I didn't mean it like that.

[There's a lengthy pause before he can continue, embarrassed as he is.]

Right. Most of what we'll need is speakers and LED screens. Big ones. I don't know that we're looking to buy, seeing as most of our acts will be smaller than, say, TRIGGER and fine starting out. Renting is probably more cost-effective for now.

I know. But others might not. It helps to think about how things might be read when you're dealing with certain kinds of people. [Ren taps his temple slightly with one long finger. Even implying that you expect someone to screw you over (literally or not) too early can sour a business relationship, so he figures it might be useful to plant the idea.]

LED screens I could help with, speakers I'd probably only be able to help when you need something from scratch rather than renting, since the ones my company actually keeps and uses are optimised for gaming and not music. So it'd have to be a custom order, and obviously that would need to wait until you've got enough clout to buy. What about headsets and microphones?

[Gaku is about to fucking explode, but he's keeping it down. He'd snap at Ren if he had the luxury, but he's as calm as he can possibly be. But go on, keep embarrassing him. See what happens.] You don't need to harp on it. I get the point.

[Think of Ryuu. Think of Ryuu's worried face. Business, and ignoring the first part.]

Headset mics would help; we've been mostly using hand mics. Can you source custom colors? Actually... I'd be willing to buy those, for TRIGGER at least.

I wouldn't consider that "harping"... [Still, Ren raises his hands to either side of his face in something between a shrug and a conciliatory gesture, as if it doesn't matter to him either way.]

I have an entire department dedicated to custom builds, so if you're willing to buy, then I can source or design anything you like. If it's not just coming out of things we already have, it's much easier.

[That's the only reason renting would be more restrictive - he can't do a custom build for rental because there's no guarantee it would resell.]

[Hold on he's just here to like, half tease Gaku, half tell Ren to stop.]

Ah, does Yaotome-san have that sort of problem? I believe we truly will balance one another quite well, then. I was meaning to contact you about business relations, as well. [A smile at the camera, and a small tilt of his head.]

Still, Ren-san, could you save your teasing him for a bit later? I'm leaving most of the replies to him, and you're causing him to turn so red that I can see it even from behind.

[How well does telling Ren to stop normally go, though. In any case, he gives Eichi a cheery wave, then laces his fingers under his chin with an air of blissful innocence.]

Oh, it's good to have a balance. And if you're both running things, then it's natural to negotiate with both of you, of course. [Some companies leave it to one person, some don't. Ren is flexible enough.]

Still, it's good practice for public relations, isn't it? Flustering so easily in front of an audience just won't do sometimes, and all I did was check in.

[Ren knows exactly why Gaku is actually flustering, but he's not a gossip.]

Of course.

[To all of that, really, he smiles. Ren will be Ren, he supposes... He can't deny that it's amusing, either.]

I appreciate your support and concern, all the same. If Yaotome-san speaks with you often, I have hope for his composure, yet. [He'll become resistant to all things that fluster, right?]

Right? I like to think regular doses of me are pretty helpful in the long run. [Until Ren evolves new ways to fluster people, or just pulls them out from wherever he was hiding them. It's a fun challenge to try and get to people who become more resilient to that sort of thing over time.]

It is nice to know that he has someone a little more experienced with business helping him out, though. I was starting to think I'd end up a consultant.

[Browsing the network in the evenings is quickly becoming as much of a habit as browsing most social media at home. And this video definitely has her pausing in her scrolling.

She's all perked ears and curious bright eyes even if she is very evidently not human as well.]

I don't have any experience with working in the industry but I have enjoyed my time in my school's drama club. Do you work with dancers as well? I've done both that and acting so far.

[That... Person is not human. But like. More not human than usual around here. Huh. That's a new one. It doesn't bother Gaku, but he does blink at her for a moment while she's speaking, before replying.]

Dancing, acting... Singing, whatever you want to do, we'll work with you if you have enough talent or drive. Mind if I ask what kind of dancing?

[She thinks on how one might classify the Meteorite Festival performance. Her Adler performance hadn't required dancing after all.]

Interpretive, I suppose. I haven't had a lot of practice dancing with a partner but I have experience there as well.

[He looks thoughtful for a moment.]

Modern? Jazz dance or something? Not ballet or tap or anything really niche. That's more what I meant. That's good, though. I don't think we have any strictly dancers, but we have actors. We've got an in with a couple of theaters.

Definitely modern. I've never done any of the others but I really would love to try them. Particularly jazz! It looks very lively, don't you think?

Definitely. I've trained in a lot of styles because I'm an idol, and there's really something special about most dance, when it's done right.

You know... I imagine if you learn choreography quickly you'll make a great back dancer to start while we try to maybe get a group together for you.

[Oooh, backup! She's been front and center stage before, more than once by now, but a change of pace sounds exciting.]

I'd love to try if you don't mind working with someone as new to it all as me. I'll give it my all though, I can promise that.

[ She seems to be in a good mood after everything. ]

I'd have offered to personally manage your healthcare, but I think that would be too selfish.

[ Never mind that if anyone so much as lays a finger on Gaku, they're losing that finger if she's around to see it happening. ]

I'm not really into getting scolded, Megumi. I know I've said it before.

[But he can't help a small smile.]

You've been a huge help. Thanks. I mean it.

[ Especially when it comes with her doing the complete opposite and doting on him at the same time? Her gaze softens though. ]

Too bad I can't offer any sort of skill besides what I already am. I don't think my "talents" are very... family friendly. Though it would be interesting to see you handle a weapon... which weapons do you think you'd like, anyroad?

Me? Weapons? I've used guns and swords for movies and dramas, you know. I'm actually not just a singer and dancer.

[A warm chuckle.]

If I had to pick, I like katana and the like.

[There he is! He usually is the face of any project he is a part of, and yet Gaku is the one mainly talking here. He didn't even say much at all.

Allowed...he says...Gaku is a powerhouse in his own right too, wow!]

This time, no? Will you be making any announcements of your own?

If we have a need for it in the future, it's likely that I may. I suppose we'll alternate, or leave it to who would approach it best?

Well, that's what I enjoy about our partnership. I believe he balances me well, rather than going along with everything that I say. It's important not to work only with a group of yesmen, you see.

I think alternating is a wonderful idea. Both of you have very different types of auras, your charisma will be refreshing each time.

Eichi-kun, you do happen to be very convincing. [Cos he's a bad prince. So now there is another prince?!]

Sen, you've done so much for us that I keep thinking you're going to run out of things to do, as far ahead as you're bound to get. We couldn't do this without you.

Then perhaps more work must be created! I would hope that everything is running smoothly, so I am relieved to hear this.

It's going better than I expected, but I won't let my guard down. You never know what might come up. If we're not careful, we could get blindsided by rumors or something. Who knows?

Mmm...[She thinks about.] So information must also be controlled, and you will have to follow a strict schedule?

[She'd want him to relax as well, knowing he's a workaholic (like she is).]

Information being controlled sounds kind of harsh, but we do have to keep a good handle on our image. I think we're laying low enough privately that rumors shouldn't come up easily, but you never know. Competition can get rough.

Sometimes they could craft those rumours as well, so I do not blame you. Although, I really do hope that you made time for yourselves in these strict schedules, and places you can rely on so that you wouldn't have to control such information.
