video | and we fall, to feel like we are something
[ JUST AFTER TRIPLE MOONS END: It took him asking a Lunatian co-worker in the Moon Knights to figure out how to keep a message from a few specific IDs: thus Shi Qingxuan, Xie Lian, and Hua Cheng aren't able to view this transmission.
His hand falls away from the camera and he smiles at it, sitting back and tucking a loose lank of hair behind his ear. His bangs are a long mess across his forehead and framing his face anyway; really, he could stand a haircut. ]
Hey, my name's Inuzuka Shino, and I'm asking for your help and guidance today.
[ He briefly bows to the camera from his seated position. Straightening up, his hair's all framing his face again, a mess. ]
I'm trying to set up a romantic date for two of my most important friends here, but I don't really know what's good outside of good food, so... Something that's not related to a lot of technology, that's nature appreciating, I think that'd be good? If anyone has suggestions on stuff like that, I'd be thankful to hear from you.

Star viewing is a thing, though. With or without a good meal behind it, it's an activity that can be considered very romantic. Some people will travel very far to acquire an unpolluted view and it generally gives the couple a degree of privacy certain other activities don't.
I wonder if there are any star showers in the forecast? That could be worth looking into.

Then that could be something like packing a picnic and blanket and warm things in a thermos. Miso and tea? Or warmed sake, too? I wonder if there's any kind of glowing in dark topping you could put on a desert...
... Is there anywhere not annoying sandy on a beach, though. Out in the hills? Anywhere where you can't see Level One is gonna be better for seeing the stars, right?
[ He's gotta get this right for them. Or at least, get them the best experience he can. ]
If no stars are falling, maybe I can make it look like some are. Are there anything like fireflies or lights that act like them here, you think? I remember more than one summer where I'd see those out in the meadows at dusk and early at night.

You want to get as far away from the light of the city as possible. A high hill in the right spot would work well. I'm sure such a place exists here. I can ask around if you'd like? I wouldn't mind having that knowledge on hand myself.
[ Especially if there's a high hill with a tall tree she can perch in and, oh, he's asked the right person about those sorts of lights. ]
You can find all manner of firefly like insects in the parks and the colors they produce are as brilliant as you'd expect of anything here. If you took some jars to the parks around dusk and made a decent offer of demichroma or snacks to the local kids, you could fill more than enough jars to put on a real show.
I'd say your friends are very fortunate to have someone so invested in their happiness, too.

[ Shino finds it that obvious. He's invested in the happiness of people he cares about. There's something he can do to support that... so why not? ]
Oh, if you'd ask around, that'd be great! Murasame and I go looking but tend to get distracted with whatever else we're doing at the same time.
That idea about the kids and the bugs is great too! Too bad the preschool is done long before the bugs come out... I'll have to try that one. Then figure out how to carry that many jars. In a pack? Should the jars be wrapped in something so they don't clack against each other? How much air do those bugs need, I'm not going to suffocate them all... do any of them look like creepy cockroaches?!

I'll ask around, then. I doubt it'll take me long to find what we're looking for.
[ She's got an extra pair of eyes and many ears attached to brains she can tug and ply a bit. ]
I would wrap the jars securely. Poke multiple holes in the tops or use a breathable fabric with a tie. Either should work well. Insects are a hardy bunch despite their generally small size, so they should be fine if you don't fill the jars to the brim.
None of the ones I've seen have resembled cockroaches. They've been about the same size as the fireflies back home, maybe a little bigger. There are similar predators here, after all.

Glad you haven't seen any cockroachy looking ones... things are just that kind of weird around here who knows what might be waiting, lurking, dirty and horrible and pretending to be something else?!
Thank you for looking around! Is there anything I can do for you in return?

[ He's mentioned the name a couple of times and she's curious. ]
That is the function of a lot of things in nature and I won't tell you I haven't encountered some strange bugs since I arrived here, but I'm sure you'll be OK in this case.
I think a handshake would be a fair exchange whenever we cross paths in person. It isn't as though I'm not also gaining from this in the meantime. If it isn't too much, though, I wouldn't mind hearing what you decided to go with in the end and whether or not it was a success sans the more personal details I'm sure your friends would rather keep, of course.

Nature is nature but sometimes I wish nature was a little less nature. What's natural about having gross, filthy buildings crawling with bugs?!
Take as many handshakes as you want, that's fine by me. As for that other thing, sure, I don't see why not. I can let you know after they let me know about if it was a success or not? The planning's not a problem to chat over either way.
many eons later...
The bugs' reply to that question would be something for your ears, I'd imagine.
That's agreeable. It'll give me something to look forward to, too.

I wouldn't mind meeting Murasame, too, when our paths cross. If you're both amenable, that is.

We're usually together, so I don't see why we wouldn't. Honestly I don't think he'd care either way.
[ not unless for some reason he thought she was edible and/or a threat. ]

That's true. They're always nice to meet, though.
I'll look forward to it, then.
