so
I got two questions
number one
anyone here evr gone home for a while and then came back? i mean longer than a cople days? did u remember or forget everything? anyone knwn someone like that?
munber two
[ Never mind this is more than two questions; Mayuzumi's already lost count of how many drinks he's had so keeping track of any other numbers isn't gonna happen right now. It's a miracle he even managed to post this anonymously. ]
how the hell do u even do it?
get ovr an idiot whos dumb enough to leave
((OOC: Alternatively your character can also encounter this hot mess in person ))

i was somewhere else before here and sme of the people i met there that are here don't remember either
thought it might be different if it's going home and back
[ More like wishful thinking; he really wants someone to tell him that his worst fear isn't real, even if he's not optimistic at all about it. ]
so
not even like
deja vu when u meet smeone who knew u here before?
UN: EasyR
It seems time works different here for sure! Like you can come from all sorts of times and remember or not remember stuff that's happened?
Nope? Not hat I can think of?

in light novels people have weird dreams about their hidden memories and all that but i suppose it works diffrent in real life
[ Listen fiction was his only frame of reference for this kind of weird stuff before he ended up on his very own isekai adventure. ]

[ Which is what he was hoping to hear, so it calms him slightly; yet he's a negative enough guy that he isn't confident at all that Akashi will remember everything too if he returns. ]
maybe u ended up somewhre else instead of home
i got stuck on another world before ending up here. not all the people i knew there that i've seen around here remembr that place.

I do not know if there is any validity to either theory, but it makes more sense to me than rapid memory loss and regain, given we know multi-universal travel is possible.
no subject
theres novels like that
but that means they arent really the same person even if they are
i guess i'm used to dealing with somethng like that but
even if they do come back they might not come back the same

[ There’s something more to that second question. Even through text, Ophilia can feel it: a pain that seems like it won’t ever go away. ]
But no harm ever came to me. I’m certain your friend is safe, too, wherever he may be.

that had to be weird
like waking up one morning and finding out it's months later than u thought?
[ It reminds Mayuzumi of a plot device from a light novel, a time skip. But this is real life not fiction.
There is a bit of a pause when the topic of that missing person that's on Mayuzumi's mind is addressed. ]
if that guy's home he's safe, yeah
[ The problem is Mayuzumi's got personal experience with world hopping, so it's just as possible that guy ended up somewhere else, like the world they were stuck on together before reuniting in Lunatia. And that place wasn't entirely safe... ]

Where else could he be if not there?
no subject
but there are other worlds u can end up on
befor i got here i was sent someplace else along with that guy
some of the people i knew there are here but not all of them remember that world
don't even know if it's really memories disappearing or something even weirder like time travl or different versions from parallel worlds, who knows
mayb the ones i knew then aren't the same ones at all

I can't say that I remembered anything specific about my time in Lunatia when I was there, but when I came back I did. Very strange, honestly.
[ hot messes gravitate toward each other I swear... ]
anonymous
but maybe its possible
[ He can't keep a lid on his alcohol consumption tonight at least. ]
but nothing at all about being here really stuck? not even in ur dreams or anything?
[ It's another big problem, especially for someone important to both him and this particular missing guy. Mayuzumi at least comes from the same world and already had a close bond, so it's a connection that won't entirely fade away along with memories of Lunatia.
That doesn't seem like it's necessarily true for bonds with people from other worlds... ]

[ They're both anonymous in their own way. France doesn't mind voicing his concerns to a stranger, and this one seems to have been put into a miserable position to be in! ]
There were some things I noticed that made no sense until I came back. I've always found him to be handsome, so that was far from unusual. I woke up one night, I'm guessing soon after I returned home, thinking of trying to actually pursue him. So I did! And it failed, many, many times! It was torturous, and I couldn't explain why I felt so strongly about it.
[ Being here had certainly helped them get over their lackluster history (an understatement). ]

not just that but being able to decide where u end up too
[ It's another pipe dream he's chasing after even if it's probably futile for someone like him to figure out a method, even if it does exist. The genius who's so perfect at everything that he might actually have a shot at accomplishing it's also the guy who's not here anymore...
What this stranger says resonates with him in other ways, though; even beyond his lowered inhibitions it draws him into being way more honest than usual. ]
i guess whatevr's between u and him has gotta be fate then
i want to think it'll be the same for me since that guy's my best friend back home
how i really felt didn't click until we both ended up on a diffrent world but
maybe destiny really is a thing and it'll happen again even if i forget

u can even end up on a completely different world, it happend to me before i woke up here
i don't know how it works though

fo realz
[ Speaking from experience. ]

but its easy not to believe that kinda thing is real until u experince it
doesn't it sound like something that only happens in sci fi stories?
[ He thought that was all theoretical light novel fodder until it happened to him. ]
u really nailed what i didnt want to hear though, thanks
of course that guy has to be annoying about everything even when hes not around

can't describe it but i wanted to take piano lessons back home too
could have been coincidental

His case is a fairly complicated one, but I don't think it's impossible someone could maintain those memories, either partially or completely.
text
[ He'd really rather not want anybody he's in love with to forget being in love with him and vice versa for sure. ]
how's it complicated?
