Death here means literally losing every drop of chroma possible, and returning is only at the barest minimum so of course on top of reeling from what happened to him he's basically running on empty. Not quite fumes yet, but nearly.]

Ren's always been such a good friend; a calming presence with the occasional wise word or two. The kind of friend you can just chill silently with and have it be totally okay. He sort of reminded her of Blake like that.
So to see him so close to tears, knowing what he's gone through, she can't even stop to ask before she's wrapping her arms around him in a tight supportive hug. He's taller than her but it's not like she can't support his weight just fine if he needs or wants to fully lean on him.]
