Greetings. If you do not know me, my name is Hanzo Shimada.

In light of recent events I have been more thoroughly considering starting a business to provide paid chroma replenishment services. For those who were left drained and suffering caring for dragon eggs due to lack of companionship, this would provide services to provide them with chroma to avoid depletion for a small percentage of chroma generated as payment.

Additionally these services may also be used by those who are looking for companionship further than hugging and hand holding for whatever reasons. We will not ask. I plan to have clientele remain anonymous if they so decide.

In order for something of this nature to be plausible I would need to know if there is any demand for such services and if there are any moonblessed among us that would be interested in employment as sex workers. You would be paid well, protected, and treated fairly. No one will have to take on clients that they, for any legitimate reason, are uncomfortable with.

[He leans back a bit casually in his seat instead of being rigid and upright. His father would be ashamed of his manners but made proud by Hanzo's initiative, so he briefly offers a smile as he moves stray strands of hair from his face.]

As stated before, I understand this topic may be taboo for some, so you are free to leave feedback publicly or anonymously. Could you support a business venture like this? Would you be willing to do work that is necessary but not necessarily easy? Let me know your thoughts, good or bad. All feedback is welcome.

I don't see why there wouldn't be at least some demand. Hal talked about making a network or app to help people connect with others who needed Chroma help at one point. It seems like it would be more than fair to have this kind of service too.

Honestly, this may be the easier option for some people. Or preferable. My way is for... well, I intended it to be more for safety purposes, but not everyone's tech savvy.

It's the oldest profession, after all.

I've been down to Level 3, and there is a red light district -- but they're not Moonblessed.

I can see the pros and cons to this, but I just can't get behind it on a personal and moral level. Call me old fashioned, I guess. But as the above stated, I have been trying to make a check-in app for folks. This is the most straightforward way, I imagine.

Good luck. If I were a different man, I might even offer, but I do what I do with special people.

My thoughts as well. There are already places where people can go to moonlace platonically, and my intention is not to take away business from those establishments, but to provide a service to perhaps a small population of moonblessed that may be open to it.

An app may be a useful thing, but cannot always guarantee that each party feels satisfied. I do think there is room for both these things to exist and be useful to us all.

Something for safety is never a bad idea. You may even find that it has it's uses for discreetly requesting help within a place such as this as well.

Then it seems that the business practice is not unlawful by Prismal law. Which is good news in itself.

I can understand your reservations, and I assure you no one will be involved in any of this against their will. Which is what I am assuming your intention was with the app. A tool to prevent bad behaviors before they can happen? Employment would be voluntary and nothing will be forced upon any worker or client. You are fully within your rights to not be interested for moral reasons. No worries.

I'm definitely not gonna not do it! Don't get me wrong. I mostly wanted it so people who were in trouble with their transformations could have someone check they're okay. Like, say a Sanguis got into a bad fight... or like me, when I turned into an actual, literal rabbit, and couldn't do anything a man can.

This is more... companionship. And I know some folks who could really use it.

Just keep in mind that people who aren't conventionally attractive do sex work as well, an a lot of legal establishments don't employ them, so they're stuck being unsafe.

A clever idea! I spent the first triple moon chasing after various Sanguis friends who had lost control of their transformations. An app such as that would have been a blessing to request assistance in making sure they were not hurt further.

I am aware. This is not my first time being exposed to businesses like this. I assure you the only thing that may cause me to turn down someone is poor work ethic. My intentions are to make sure everyone involved is safe. Employee safety does take priority over others, however. That is another mistake the men who I learned from had not put enough resources into. If i do this it will be done properly or not at all.

If there are any other concerns, please let me know. I value your opinion, and you have a valuable amount of empathy and insight that comes with that. There may be a place for you if you are interested that does not involve any hands on interactions with clientele.

There's no harm in having more than one option, whether it's for just checking in on people or companionship.

Definitely. More choice is never a bad thing and in this case in particular it could be extremely beneficial.

If that is true, how is it that the poor and starving must still pay for food if they would like to eat? Who gets to decide what should or should not be free? I think if a person provides a service, they have every right to be compensated for that service.

[He pauses, considering his words.]

I understand your concern, but if people are able to get it for free then I do not imagine those are the people who would be interested in these services.

Think about it from the position of someone who is chroma depleted, has no interest in forming social connections with others, and would simply like to get replenished and get on with their lives. How would they go about avoiding depletion? Going door to door begging for someone willing to allow them to have their way? Would you be willing to give your time and body to a person you do not know who has no interest in getting to know you free of charge?

If so then open a business where you dispense these services to those in need free of charge and perhaps I will not have to have a business plan to provide services for a fee, which, I do not think is unreasonable.

Yes, exactly. Both workers and those who would come would generate chroma. Only a small percentage of that would be paid to maintain the establishment and ensure the survival of the business. In theory, of course.

[Hanzo is unsure of many aspects of this business venture, but he has absolutely no uncertainty about being able to keep employees safe.]

If this comes to pass, you absolutely have my word. Your work environment would be safe, and security would be a priority. I recognize that not all people are good respectful people, and I would not hesitate to throw a customer from the premises by force myself if anyone stepped out of line.

[The expression is difficult to read, so he's unsure if he's being judged or looked at with disdain, but either way he is sure Japan's response isn't necessarily positive.]

I agree. Giving people more options seems like a reasonable endeavor. I just want to make sure to go about it as ethically and fairly as possible.

Well, that you think about that sort of business opportunity.. but that you also wish for it to be legal, and to protect those that work for you. [ a pause. ] That part is more of a confirmation, I suppose. [ he'd already guessed that hanzo was a man of a certain type of honor. ]

[Hanzo brings up a good enough point but for some oddity, this doesn't sit well with his morality. Why? Maybe because Yoshimitsu is a bit of a prude. Nevertheless, he won't deny that such a service would be helpful. Especially for people like him born and raised on the battlefield who lack the expertise for such relationships.]

This world functions on us seeking pleasure but in turn it causes our suffering all for the sake of chroma. There's no...no emotions attached to it, no feelings besides our constant yearning.

I know for myself that I've tried to fight against it but I always fail. Without a steady supply of chroma, we risk harming ourselves.

[He falls quiet for a time.]

But even so, will the regulation of general affections truly be the key to our survival? Doesn't this further complicate matters? Basic affections will be bartered and sold rather than freely expressed between potential lovers.

We'll become blind to our own vanity and forsake the purity of love.

I applaud you for that. Have you thought about maybe going to any of the other brothels around here and maybe getting an idea of how they structure their services? You don't need to do the exact same and it probably wouldn't be feasible to unless you plan to have an actual building for this particular business.
