[ The feed turns on, revealing one tired looking Claude with a coffee cup in hand. Judging by the expression he wears, it's clear he's having just a little bit of trouble staying up. His attire is also a little more heavy - clearly wanting to hide the wounds and bruises he had received from his first nightmare-induced deep sleep. ]

What a pain, huh? And here I thought I'd be safe in my dreams. Guess this is more wacky world stuff going on.

[ Sighing as he rubs the back of his neck, he finally opens his eyes and addresses the camera. ]

So, I'm here for a few reasons. Outside of needing some company to keep me awake, I'm also looking for some partners. My usual hand holding partners went back home and I'm not too keen on finding myself in battle without a way to get chroma back should I use most of it up. Normally I wouldn't resort to asking on the network, but... [ handwave. ] My options are kind of limited and hey, I could use some company right now, so I'll kill two birds with one stone.

[ A beat. ]

Before I go... We're sure that people go home when they disappear, right? It's been weighing on my mind for a while, now.

I've been wondering that too, about where people go when they leave this place. I don't know if there's a way we can be sure.

Well, I guess if one of us disappears and we don't get sent home, we'll get our answer.

I think there's been talk of people returning home and coming back here, but even then... I can't say I'm not skeptical.

I suppose we can just hope they really do get sent back home.

Hopefully. I like to think that we do, but... Well, I want to be completely sure.

[ A grin. ] Great! I could use some company that's not a tiny lizard. [ Off-camera offended screech from the cat-size wyvern that's around. ] And as for Chroma sharing, I'll be sure to wear gloves for the hand holding bit so it's not super scandalous.

Doesn't it work better the more physical the contact? I don't really mind a bit of scandal.

It does. I was mostly just joking around. You know how certain people can be: the slightest intimate contact can be too much for them.

[ Even in this place, at least when people first arrive. That's probably what makes it funnier. ]

That's true. Though when I first got here, I hugged someone for three hours, so I suppose I'm not as fussed about it.

Three hours! That really is a long time. Then again, my friends and I would just form one big cuddle pile and lay there for a few hours, so I guess that's not really any different. It still amazes me that energy is collected by physical intimacy.

I find that a bit strange myself. But it does work, somehow.

As for your question, I doubt they really do. Isn’t it a bit too convenient to think we’re returned home when the scientists can’t do it themselves?

That's a part of the reason I'm skeptical myself. It feels a little too strange to only be able to go home when we're not paying attention. It feels a little off.

My concern has been with people who come from different times of the same world. Doesn’t it imply quite a lot about timelines and universes?

At this point, I'm used to the idea of differing timelines. [ Personal stuff. ] Still, I see your point. It's pretty concerning, knowing someone you know from home either hasn't caught up to you or knows the future. Pretty mind boggling!

My biggest worry came to mind when dealing some time ago with that Dimension X nonsense. Assuming we really had gotten the chance to go home, who’s dictating what time we return to?

[ he shakes his head. ]

There are too many little details that don’t satisfy me to chalk up to coincidence.

[A tired looking Ashe with coffee around him nodded as he raised his cup of coffee.]

I wouldn't mind helping you out. It could help us if there was someone around to keep the other awake. I've been wondering what happens when they go back home too. Do you think they keep the memories of what happened here?

A part of me hopes so, that we remember everything here. I'd like to go back home and... Well, I guess the feeling of knowing I got some closure with some people would put me at ease.

[ This is deeply concerning, and Percival has been having enough trouble as it is trying to stay on top of all the missing person reports he'd received in one week alone. ]

It is likely they returned to their world unless they fell victim to the same plight the Dreamweavers warned about.
When was the last time you crossed paths with them?

Nah, they left before all of this happened, so their disappearance has nothing to do with it. Its just something I've been thinking about.

As is always the case with the disappearance of friends and comrades.
At least, it's even further proof that you may soon join them.

So, you were pulled from your home to another place, and then you were pulled here... That can be a little troublesome to hear. Have you heard about people who go home then come back here? Apparently I was here before, but I have no memory of this place.

Yes, that's right... It's hard to describe it, but. That place, there was a woman who called herself a witch, and she called the people she'd gathered the Circle... and she made us go to all sorts of different worlds trying to "fix" them.

But when I left there, I came here. Not home, like everyone said people went when they vanished from there.

[Which... Makes it difficult to trust that leaving Lunatia meant going home, as much she wishes she could.]

I've heard about people like that. I mean- Like you. I've even met people here that I knew well... but who didn't know me when I saw them again.

Fixing different worlds... That's an interesting concept. [ But also kind of... eerie, in a sense? Maybe he's thinking too much about it. ] So, it seems like there's other places like this one - where people are pulled from their worlds and dropped into an entirely new one.

[ Mildly concerning. He's definitely heard of people going home, but... this adds something new to the mystery pile. ]

Two of my friends that were previously here had told me I was here before. I felt bad that I didn't remember the memories I made here.

I say "fixing"... But sometimes, I don't think we really "fixed" much. Sometimes... it didn't end well.

I don't know how that works. Someone tried to tell me it was "parallel worlds", but I couldn't really wrap my head around it.

I've met people here who swear they've lived here for months and yet who I've known to have been "home" with me the whole time.
