I have a few queries for anyone who wants to read, since I've been a little absent lately and had a while to let these build up.
Firstly! For those of us from some facsimile of Earth, are you excited for whatever Lunatian equivalent there is for Valentine's Day? How do you plan on celebrating, if so? I'm not sure of what grandiose gesture I'm going to perform, but if anyone can play musical instruments, I'd like to enlist your help! Also, if you want to get your love fortune read, I do own Khan el-Khalili in Caihong, and do tarot reading.
Secondly, a discussion got me incredibly curious about the cultural spread here in Lunatia amongst the Moonblessed! Especially food-wise; I'm Egyptian, myself, and I think it would be fantastic if we could organise some sort of potluck or...I don't know! Some sort of culinary cultural exchange! If anyone's interested, I'd love to hear ideas and the like! You can thank user Jaguar for this idea; they gave me the inspiration and deserve due credit :)
If you're not interested in any of the following, which is fair, here is a funny chicken picture!

Can't say I got too much special planned for Valentine's Day yet, but I'm always fixing for a potluck. I only got the chance to try a couple things the last time I was in Egypt. You ever had Southern food in the U.S.?
no subject
!!!!!!!!! I HAVE HEARD SO MUCH ABOUT SOUTHERN FOOD IN AMERICA. But never tried it! I was mostly in New York with a friend when I came to America, so I can't say I tried much more than steak and pizza...You bring the Southern food, I'll bring zalabiya and ta'ameya, and see if I can't get to making some mochi as well. We have to make this happen! I'm so excited about getting to try Southern food!
no subject
Well hell. I never got to try zalabiya. Sounds like I can't disappoint then. You ever heard of chicken-fried steak?

However, I might enjoy a reading from you sometime.
Perhaps I will show you and Jotaro some meals from Wallachia, if you are open minded.
no subject
I'd love to try Wallachian cuisine, too! And I'm sure that Jotaro would too; at the very least, he'd be touched by the thought, I know.
no subject
That would be appreciated. What are your hours?
I cannot promise that I can make everything well, but I remember what my mother would enjoy. She would forget to eat sometimes while she was studying or working, so I often found myself attempting to make sure she'd eat.

I don't think Beyondian cuisine is replicable in this world. And most dishes would probably be considered illegal here or deadly.

I
Illegal how? I'm concerned. So concerned. Do...People die from eating it? I have so many questions, Zed.

I believe it's on the 14th of this month, but I'm not sure about Lunatia's traditions, so it'll be interesting to see how they're similar and different.

my dad is better obviously but i'm not bad at it i guess
why
do you want to serenade somebody or something
no subject
Maybe you shouldn't, much as I appreciate the offer.
Actually, now that I'm thinking about it, maybe subjecting anyone to playing music while I attempt to have a nice candlelit dinner with Leone would be painful for them...I know most people aren't comfortable with the affection of others.
But that was my intention, yes. ...Can I still listen to you play, one day? I'd really like that, as long as it was in a less awkward situation.

And I'd love to have you join us on the potluck adventure, if you're willing! It's more about sharing our homes with each other through the universal language of food, than some sort of fancy competition. Do you mind me asking where you come from? I might know of the place, if you're from Earth! It's alright if that's too much, though; it's a matter of simple curiosity, not a necessity, and you're welcome to join in either way!

Uh not for love advice or whatever. Just fortune telling in general
Somebody recommended you.
Oh uh for food, I can bring something, I guess?
[ Is there any food that's even unique to Lucis? They're kind of a melting pot, culture-wise. Diner food, maybe? Would he even want to represent his country with that stuff though?? He'll have to ask Ignis. ]
no subject
More and more, he loves this place.]
Not really. You're welcome to come down to the shop whenever, and if I'm with a customer already, the readings typically don't take too long anyway, so waiting won't take up more than fifteen minutes of your day. And you could always peruse the bakeries nearby if you don't want to wait in-shop!
I could do it over this post too, but I find that it doesn't allow for as much connection, so...I prefer in person, if that's not an inconvenience to you. Do you want a map to find me?
And as for the food! If you can't think of anything that represents your homeland...Your favourite meal will do fine, I think. People bond over food, and sharing it. I think that's a wonderful thing.

That being said, I play both the piano and the flute.

...I don't suppose that you'd be willing to play for a Valentine's dinner, though, would you? For due payment of course! You can name the price, since different people have different thresholds for the open affection of others.
(And if that's not something you're up for, that's alright too. I hope I can hear you play one day, all the same!)

man arent potlucks great?
im actually planning on opening a teppanyaki place soon! but id totally be up for bringing some of my menu items to a potluck before then
no subject
I'm also really excited for your future teppanyaki place! It feels like forever since I've had actual Japanese food, especially teppanyaki; I'll have to see how your okonomiyaki is, hm? And you're welcome to use it as a testing ground for your menu, of course. I'm hoping that this'll also encourage business food-wise, or at least allow for us all to be able to trade in the future too.

As far as the potluck goes, I can make something if you want. [He's not a bad cook at all, but the food he ate as a child on Mt. Colubo wasn't very exciting. It was good, hearty fare, but pretty average in his mind when it comes down to it.] I've got a lot of roasted and grilled fish and meat recipes from my childhood home, but the stuff I learned sailing is way more interesting. How do you handle spicy?
And I really like the chicken! Did you make it?
no subject
You're definitely welcome to come along to the potluck, too! Especially if it's spicy. I love spice! Love love love it! I...Can't speak for anyone else, but that's my personal opinion, anyway!! I hope you like legumes and pulses because I'm going to repay your food in kind!!!!!
...I didn't make the chicken though :( Sorry to be a let down! It looks delicious and lovely though! I bet the original artist is very talented!
