Good day. My name is Sandalphon, and I manage Cafe Azure.

With Valentine's Day approaching, I would like to devise a menu for the occasion. Since our realms differ greatly, what flavors and motifs are common to the holiday where you come from?

I'm familiar with chocolate and anatomically inaccurate hearts.

Also, do any local businesses offer free refreshments to new arrivals? It has occurred to me that this may help them acclimate.

Thank you in advance for any input.

I like that, personally. Doing it yourself- shows you really care enough to put the effort in. I think it means more than the commercialism of it all.

Well, New York is a city, but it's on Earth, and yeah, we have a lot of different continents, with even more countries spread across them. Each culture is unique.

Floating islands in the sky? That’s pretty cool, actually. I’d love to visit a place like that.

It does seem a little strange that certain holidays can be present in multiple worlds, and have similar traditions, but I guess when you get right down to it, it’s all about people. Some things are universal. Family, friends, love. Valentine’s Day is all about love. That’s something every world has in common.

For all of the things that seem to be universal, I’m glad coffee is near the top of the list. Everyone seems to know what it is. Something we all have in common, right? Even if not everyone is a fan.

I’m not sure I could picture a world like that either, and I don’t think I would want to. Usually it’s dangerous to assume, but on this one thing, I think it would be okay to assume that’s the case.

Wait, you know the guy who created coffee? That's pretty awesome. How does he feel about how far coffee has come in some worlds? Is he for or against frappuccinos?

[This is important.]

Cool.

I'd be surprised if they didn't. Everything here is pretty futuristic by my world's standards- either they have it, or there's something comparable. It's kind of like a coffee milkshake, but not.

If you like it black, that much sugar might be like a kick in the teeth, but it’s a pretty tasty treat where I’m from. Worth having the experience just once, at least. No reason not to sate your curiosity.
