[It's been almost a month since her arrival. Nike has sensed the changes within the world and heard the voices from the natives. All of it felt oddly welcoming, a little sweet, maybe unsettling by the sudden waves of energy coming from the moons-filled nights, and maybe a little fear and some anxiety in-between especially after the events of the amphitheater. Which was happily taken care of. But now it was her turn to experience the next phase of the moon which was just around the corner...]

...um, I hope I'm doing this right. First time using such a....impersonal item. Something about using this to talk to a lot of people. Like using a microphone...? Just without the singing?

[That was the best way for her medieval mind to go around it. Just ignore the fact her country was far too advanced in a world that shouldn't be. A detail she has learned the reason of, but wasn't important right now.]

Um, right, so...I'm Nike. I arrived a while ago. And I was wondering: is there somewhere I can go when my phase of the moon pops up? Like a safe place I can hide away in...? I'm sorta alone. I don't have many people I trust here and those I do...I may have messed things up...

[By aggressively attacking their ears, going overboard with flattering, and just simply being more clingy than usual. Even she is embarrassed by it but he happened to look insanely gorgeous that day, more than usual....not that it was an excuse but...]

Anyway, is there anyone with powers similar to mine? Like sensing their surroundings and knowing what a large group of people feel? Or are able to hear the planet's voice or influence? I've been...having some trouble. I don't know how to explain it.... [More like she's been feeling very uncomfortable with herself, getting easily irritable, feeling more self-conscious than usual, and yet staring at herself more than she would like. Not to mention the cold chills traveling her spine and arms.]

Is it normal for your body to feel so cold while feeling pretty warm? Or just agitated in general? I don't know what to do...or expect. Any advice would be very appreciated.

[ When Videl hears that voice, she can't help but grab her phone and get ready to send an answer to her. She knew there was a chance that Nike wasn't the same Nike she had met in Duplicity but at the same time she couldn't not at least response to this.

And then she'll just have to figure out how to explain the whole alternate timelines thing if this Nike wasn't from Duplicity.]

Yeah, you're doing it right if you just want do a voice message, Nike. As for a place to stay, well... is there any reason why your apartment here won't work?

[Okay, good! She wasn't making a mistake with her message. Still, it was weird to receive images as it was receiving voices. And people think her senses are odd....]

I don't know what to expect. And I'm alone. So... [How to explain she was now afraid of the dark or being alone during these moon phases?] I guess I'm not used to being on my own. I always had someone with me one way or another. And I made a mess of things with the only person I do trust. [Which she feels very bad about.] ....it wasn't even during my own cycle when it happened. Who knows how I'll be when it is my turn? [Which begins now...or tomorrow....?]

[ Damn. No recognition at all. Not really unexpected but it did complicate things quite a bit. She remembers quite well how Nike was when she was first in Duplicity, and while Lunatia was better since nothing was forced, the whole moonblessing thing did throw a wrinkle into things.

Coupled with the fact that her moonblessing hadn't kicked in, it was pretty obvious which one Nike was going to have... which honestly baffled Videl a little on why Nike wanted to be near anyone, even with everything she said.]

Okay. I... before I make any suggestions about what you can do about it, you do know what the potential Iris moonblessing effects are already, right?

[Nike is a little lost on what effects the Iris moon has. She hasn't experienced it yet. The other moons have been slightly been affecting her due to her connection with her surroundings and the planet. But now that the Iris moon was so close by, she was starting to feel symptoms she never had and other side-effects. As far as she knows moonlacing may help, but....]

No. Not really. I just know it is the final cycle before the triple moon begins...? Moonlacing may help with some symptoms. While someone else suggested living a little or it'll be a waste of chrome??? Whatever that means...

[So really, any suggestion will be good at this point!]

[ Welp. Okay, this is definitely something that Nike needs explained but she already has some idea of how the other woman is going to react.

So probably a good thing that it's her doing it, all things considered. But at least she has something else she can start with first.]

Chroma is... well, basically energy that's generated by us with close physical contact. How much of it we generate is measured here and is that measurement is used as money. Certain types of contact generate a lot more Chroma than others though.

As for the Iris effects, well, there's a few of them, but one of the more... well known ones is that people with the Iris moonblessing... go into heat, basically. [ There really is no delicate way to put that, but at least Videl tried?]

[The first explanation about chroma generation and its uses will surprise her.]

Not only is chroma used to help this planet and keeping us alive, but it can be used for currency too?

[What can this chroma not be used for!? Nike already knew having sex with others will generate it most. She has already tried handholding, hugging, and some touching only to find the latter had more effect than the former. Well, hugging did generate a little more to handholding though...

The effects of the Iris moon will leave Nike insanely silent by....how straightforward the other woman can be without going red in the face. Nike's face will be changing. Her mind was trying to digest it. Understand it. WHY!?]

Yeah. It makes things a lot easier money wise if you're used to being in close contact with people.

[ And yup, there's the red face from Nike Videl had been expecting. Might change the other girl's thought on having people near her, though that wouldn't actually help with the heat itself.

... Nike did know what masturbation was, right? Did the Nike she met in Duplicity know that, or was what they had to do to get non-ghosted her first experience with the concept?

During the entire time. And also again during the entire time the triple moon happens. Though you might get lucky and not have to deal with going into heat. Or only have to deal with it with one of the times during the month. It'll be hard to say until it happens.

[It was a good tip to know. Nike will have to make certain to constantly hold hands or link arms with whoever was by her side. Granted if they're willing to. She won't force anyone to if they're against it.

Unfortunately, Nike will find herself learning about the bad news concerning the cycles -- it was an all-day event. A sigh will be given at the thought of having to be constantly in heat the entire time. No wonder she was advised to barricade herself...

R-Really? [Some months won't be as bad as others?] It'd be pretty helpful if it were the case! I'd prefer it if it didn't affect me at all. I have no idea what to expect. The other moon cycles I noticed only through the connection I have with this world and the group of natives. All it did was notice the spikes of emotions or a mixed bag of emotions. [And so far she feels a chill down her back and shoulders, so...] It'd be great if my cycle won't clog my senses too much. I don't wanna feel too overwhelmed...

I'm Videl. And not being affected by the other mooncycles is totally normal, it's only the one that affects you directly that you need to really worry about.

... I mean, beyond worrying about what other people might end up doing, I guess. Though with your abilities I guess that would be a little different for you. [ Which joust brought to mind another concern that she didn't even think about earlier. ]

Speaking of your senses though, from what you were saying in your post, it sounds like whatever feedback that you're getting from people is affecting you too. Is that what's happening, or did I just misunderstand what you were talking about with it?
