[It's been almost a month since her arrival. Nike has sensed the changes within the world and heard the voices from the natives. All of it felt oddly welcoming, a little sweet, maybe unsettling by the sudden waves of energy coming from the moons-filled nights, and maybe a little fear and some anxiety in-between especially after the events of the amphitheater. Which was happily taken care of. But now it was her turn to experience the next phase of the moon which was just around the corner...]

...um, I hope I'm doing this right. First time using such a....impersonal item. Something about using this to talk to a lot of people. Like using a microphone...? Just without the singing?

[That was the best way for her medieval mind to go around it. Just ignore the fact her country was far too advanced in a world that shouldn't be. A detail she has learned the reason of, but wasn't important right now.]

Um, right, so...I'm Nike. I arrived a while ago. And I was wondering: is there somewhere I can go when my phase of the moon pops up? Like a safe place I can hide away in...? I'm sorta alone. I don't have many people I trust here and those I do...I may have messed things up...

[By aggressively attacking their ears, going overboard with flattering, and just simply being more clingy than usual. Even she is embarrassed by it but he happened to look insanely gorgeous that day, more than usual....not that it was an excuse but...]

Anyway, is there anyone with powers similar to mine? Like sensing their surroundings and knowing what a large group of people feel? Or are able to hear the planet's voice or influence? I've been...having some trouble. I don't know how to explain it.... [More like she's been feeling very uncomfortable with herself, getting easily irritable, feeling more self-conscious than usual, and yet staring at herself more than she would like. Not to mention the cold chills traveling her spine and arms.]

Is it normal for your body to feel so cold while feeling pretty warm? Or just agitated in general? I don't know what to do...or expect. Any advice would be very appreciated.

[How should she end this? Um.....she's turning this off like now because what is talking to herself? This is weird. She doesn't like this.]

Take a deep breath. It's alright.

[Her voice is calm, as is her expression though she regards Nike with curiosity.]

I can sort of do things like that. It's a bit more complicated than that, but I can sense things and feel peoples' emotions and the like. Are your abilities starting to act up?

[Hers' tended to do that too, so she sympathizes. And when the mitori ability really got going, she tended to become even more sensitive to sights and sounds; it was headache inducing at best.]

If you're intent on avoiding people during the mooncycles, your best option is to stay in your own apartment with whatever you might need.

[ And even that isn't foolproof. ]

My hearing is similar to that. I can hear... and feel people's thoughts and emotions.

[The voice replying is robotic-like in quality, if the face wasn't convincing enough that this person isn't human. Though it is laced with concern as this is almost a familiar situation.]

Are you alright? Are the moons affecting your powers? [His own sometimes goes haywire, especially when the moon cycle begins, he's become far more sensitive to sounds.]

[ When Videl hears that voice, she can't help but grab her phone and get ready to send an answer to her. She knew there was a chance that Nike wasn't the same Nike she had met in Duplicity but at the same time she couldn't not at least response to this.

And then she'll just have to figure out how to explain the whole alternate timelines thing if this Nike wasn't from Duplicity.]

Yeah, you're doing it right if you just want do a voice message, Nike. As for a place to stay, well... is there any reason why your apartment here won't work?

Hey, calm down, people mess up all the time. The moon phases are kinda a good excuse for whatever you've done, so I'm sure if you explain it to 'em they'll forgive ya. [ Yuzuriha speaks in an easy tone, waving a hand in the air casually. ] Plus it'd be a waste of chroma if you just go out on your own and do nothin', live and let learn or however that phrase goes...

[ But then she shows where her true interests lie, as her lips soon curl into a smile. ]

Where I'm from it's called "ki", the energy of every living and non-living thing, it might not be exactly what you're dealing with but it's pretty similar. You may be suffering from an imbalance caused by either draining yourself of too much of one energy or becoming overwhelmed by another.

[ She taps a finger to her chin, expression shifting into one that's more serious. ]

If you're not too careful you could die.

[It'll take some time for Nike to adjust with the change from voice to images. She'll be a bit cautious about it. Not knowing what to expect, but finding the other girl looked....the opposite of threatening while giving her advice; she decided to copy and change from voice to video.

Well, after she takes a few deep breaths first.

Can't be looking too frazzled.

Especially when she has found someone else like her.]

Yes. I'm...having a tough time concentrating. It feels like this world is trying to suck me in....who knows where. This place is starting to feel unbearable.

[Her head was beginning to feel very heavy with the amount of information she was gaining from her surroundings. She knew the moons have something to do with it because ever since it popped her senses feel like they've gone haywire. Lights were getting brighter, the darkness was getting even darker, the sounds felt closer, and the temperature has been changing in waves.]

...does it get better after its over? [The moonphases she means.]

[WHAT KIND OF ADVICE IS THIS!? WHAT DO YOU MEAN MR. GOOD-LOOKING-ICON-STRANGER!?]

Does it get that bad? Cause you're starting to sound like I should do a blockade or something.

[ It's what he would do?? And has done??? Not so much anymore, but she asked for a safe place, and really, that's all he's got. ]

It depends on the moon cycle. The effects tend to vary so you may experience few to no changes at all or quite a few. Some may be physical, others behavioral.

You know yourself best so you'll have to decide what you're comfortable with.

[Ah, that would explain Allen's adorable fluffy ears by physical changes. What about behavioral? Nike will be left pensive, remembering the new waves from the first moon...]

Do you mean from the first phase? I noticed the changes to my environment. There was a new wave I did not recognize.

[What is going to happen during the third moon? She is only guessing that is her cycle because she hasn't changed. Not yet, so...]

I wish I was as confident as you. I don't know. I have no experience in this particular area. Especially in my present form. I don't know what to expect. All of this is very new.

[She still feels human but there is a moment she feels disconnected from other humans too. It was difficult to explain without having the previous guardian spirit by her side. If only they would've instructed her, then things would've been different.]

Calm down. Breathe, deep. Count to three then exhale.

[His voice was gentle and soft, but firm even as he spoke slowly for her. A bit of stability for her to cling to if she needs it.]

Nike, was it? I'm called Bishop. Getting right to your questions, I'll have to know what your moon phase is because depending on what it is, my advice with change.

All three moons have different effects, yes, and the intensity of them varies from cycle to cycle.

[ He's not quite sure what she's referring to with regards to the rest of it, but it sounds as though her sense of things (the world in general) is different from his. ]

There was a learning curve for all of us when we first arrived.

[ It doesn't necessarily just go away, either. ]

What manner of 'form' are you speaking of?

[ Because that could mean a whole lot of different things. ]

[The voice sounds....unique. They look unique too. Was that a futuristic helmet or???

Nike has never met a robot or talking machine before or would notice it is how a talking machine would sound like. There is a lot of ????? while all at once she is left feeling curious about them too.]

Thoughts are something I have no control over. Feelings, emotions, and hearts are more of my expertise. [Although her mantra will always be "a human heart can never be calculated".] What does it feel like to hear other people's thoughts? Especially in a big city like this one?

[As for their next questions, Nike will lower her head as she stares at her own dress noticing it was longer and wasn't as ethereal white in color. Not to mention the way her surroundings feel...as though it was trying to twist into her or suck her in somewhere. She was afraid to be anywhere dark. If she had more people to trust, then she wouldn't be sleeping alone. The waves were driving her a little crazy. She was becoming more hyperaware which was weighing her mind down. Not to mention the sudden change of temperature, almost as if she was suffering a fever while not having one. There was a lot of concern especially now she can feel her turn was coming.]

Yeah. Ever since the first moon phase, I've been noticing everything feels different. It's been worrying me. I thought they were my own moon phases, at first, but after talking about it....it doesn't seem to be the case. The world just changes. I've been noticing it, but now I feel....anxious all of a sudden. Like something scary is coming up. The chill. It's beginning to feel a lot colder now. [A pause.] I'm scared about what's to come....

[Okay, good! She wasn't making a mistake with her message. Still, it was weird to receive images as it was receiving voices. And people think her senses are odd....]

Well...

[How to answer her next question?]

I don't know what to expect. And I'm alone. So... [How to explain she was now afraid of the dark or being alone during these moon phases?] I guess I'm not used to being on my own. I always had someone with me one way or another. And I made a mess of things with the only person I do trust. [Which she feels very bad about.] ....it wasn't even during my own cycle when it happened. Who knows how I'll be when it is my turn? [Which begins now...or tomorrow....?]

[While he can't exactly relate to her abilities and exact moonblessing struggles it's difficult for Link to ignore someone distressed and in need.]

I can't claim to understand what you're going through, but if you'd like the place I'm staying is currently very quiet. And I'm familiar with a kind of tea that could at least help in soothing your nerves.

[It was almost relieving to know this detail. About the way, the different phases can affect someone which has someone being understanding about it. Nike couldn't help wonder if Allen could forgive her. It was just so difficult to not touch. He had adorable fluffy ears!

....but she does admit, she may have been too forward in finding him a little too pretty. He was already the type to be cautious and distant, so.

A sigh will escape as her mind went deeper and deeper about the issues which--]

[SHE WILL HAPPILY SNAP OUT BY OVERHEARING THAT ADVICE! WHAT DOES SHE MEAN BY TAKING ADVANTAGE OF!? A WASTE OF CHROMA!!!!

[While all at once the other woman's advice wasn't as scandalous, not when Nike has two older ~~boy-crazy~~ sisters. One of them or both must have given her similar advice at some point. Hopefully. Or maybe she was confusing those memories with the ones where she used to overhear their antics.

Just the thought was leaving her nostalgic.]

[So with that, she will ignore the earlier advice, by keeping it in the back of her mind. Right now was not an option. As much as she likes Allen, she wouldn't want to do those types of things with him. How could she when she asked her fiance to basically grow up because he was not her type? Not to mention when she wasn't Allen's type neither. He'd never look her way...

Let's concentrate on the new explanation for "ki" because it sounds very similar indeed. Very interesting topic. She was not wrong.]

"Ki" sounds interesting. My power is based on sensing the world's thoughts and feelings so I can grant its wishes. It allows me to sense the emotions of the group of people in a specific area. I was only allowed to sense a the areas I recognized. The only way to gain access to other areas was by learning about the area's culture, scenery, and people. Without those things, I cannot create its song. That was until I was given the role of the world guardian. [Another pause.] Even before gaining this title, this power of mine -- to sense -- has always been "on" for all of us in my family ever since we're born. We can't turn it off unless the world does, we get gravely injured or sick, or we have a certain rock to cut our connection... [Which she doubts exists.

As for the final part, about dying, Nike will shrug her shoulders a bit.]

That part doesn't scare me. In a way I already have. [If anything.] The only thing I fear is losing control. I don't want to hurt anyone even under the guise of this moon blessing business.

[With a weak smile.]

I don't think I'm allowed to live a little, not when I am no longer human.

[The saying was such a human concept. As much as she wants to be more like her older sisters, Nike doubts she's allowed to. Not after leaving behind so many treasured people and breaking so many hearts in the process.]

[Confusion and curiosity are far better than terror for someone seeing a giant mech for the first time, he'll take it. Though this video call couldn't give Nike a proper scale of his huge size.

While he can see her curiosity, his appearance isn't the utmost importance right now.]

I can hear those, too, feelings, emotions, hearts... however, I have no control over them. [He can manipulate them somewhat via electronic wave, but it's not an ability he likes to use on anybody.] A headache. I can't turn my powers off fully, so I hear their thoughts and emotions all the time. The pain tends to vary during the moon cycles... my moon cycle, which is the next cycle, brings the worst, but it can get especially terrible than a headache when emotions or tensions are high in the air. The best I could do to limit what I hear is to focus.

[And if he's not careful, not taking himself out of the crowd, or find a place to be momentarily alone, he might experience a sensory overload, which this person might be suffering through. While her situation isn't exactly similar, her sense of the world is different, almost similar to a Prime with how they can hear the world speak to them and all. Still, there are some overlaps with his own sensitive sensors.]

First off, take a deep breath- [That's what humans do, right?] -and try to calm yourself... Your surrounding is overwhelming you and making you anxious about your coming cycle... It can be scary not knowing what to expect, but there is nothing to fear about change, so long as your prepared for it. I have thus far kept Iris under control and the worst impulses away...

[Almost on cue Nike will begin to breathe deeply, count to three, and exhale.

She'll be doing it a few more times. Just a couple. Enough until her senses can calm down to focus on the other boy's voice.]

That's right.

[What an interesting name! It sounds more like a title than a name, but she is sure it may be the way his world is.]

It's the last one. The one that has a flower's name, I do believe.

[Iris, maybe. She still hasn't experienced it yet. So any advice would be appreciated. She already knows Allen's cycle changes his form and increases his charm. The first one is filled with passionate emotions. Iris, however, was a mystery.]

[She recognizes this voice. Almost instantly! Too bad he can't see the smile spreading on her lips.]

What would you recommend for me to bring to pair with the tea?

[Can't exactly go empty-handed to his apartment. Even if he did invite. It'd be rude to not bring something!]

[She should've expected the learning the curve, in all honesty. All worlds are not the same similarly to how all humans cannot be calculated either.]

Before arriving here, I was given the title as a world guardian after resigning my humanity.

I arrived in this world as soon as it was done. I know I am human. I still need to eat, sleep, and bathe; however, I arrived in this world with my senses and my dress symbolizing my position. I cannot change out of it.

[And yet she can take it off. Or ask it to disappear. Go figure.]

I don't know if any of that helps. With how different I am already, I have no idea how my own cycle will affect me. I wish I could ask another spirit about this.

I wouldn't feel right asking a guest to bring something. I also already happened to be preparing a pie.

[Cooking has been one of the few ways he's been able to keep his mind occupied and it offers a small reminder of home, of an old routine from Central.]

[The explanation about his power was fascinating. It was the opposite of her power while remaining similar. How can she ever be afraid of someone similar to her or kind? He even looks cool! Seriously, it was difficult to not be impressed.]

Seems like our powers are very similar! I can only hear the thoughts of the world while sense and somewhat manipulate the emotions of those surrounding me.

[In her case, she sings for the world's power and to absorb and purify the emotions of those in her area.

Their explanation about the sensory overload will leave her silent. She wanted to know the way they deal with it only to find its similar to the way she has been handling it: hide and concentrate on something else. An understanding smile will appear as she nods.]

Iris is the cycle I'm stuck with too. I'm thrilled in meeting someone so similar to me even in moon blessing. There is very little I know about it so I have no idea where to begin my preparations. [But she will take a deep breath, trying to stable herself at the moment and not allow her fears overtake her.] But when it comes to change, I don't fear it. I already went through multiple ones for the past year. Some were sudden. So you don't have to worry. I can handle it!

[If she hasn't thrown up from the first phase, or has now, then she can handle it...maybe....hopefully...]
