A few (possibly) helpful suggestions.
~Video, Public~
[The video opens on Cor reclining a little hesitantly in his chair. There's a couple of fading bruises peeking out from beneath his sleeves around his wrist, but nothing too terrible on public display. His face, however, seems more thoughtful than usual.]
I understand that many here are concerned about the impact of recent events. And given that some of you are already making the initiative to try and re-earn the trust of the natives here, it's heartening to see how many of us are bouncing back in peaceful ways. From food kitchens to regular businesses, to even those of us who joined the Moon Knights - it's good to give back to a community that once welcomed us with open arms, and could still do so again in the future.
However...
[He closes his eyes as he bows his head in contemplation.]
We must not forget the other threats to the people here - both without and within. The Moon Knights tend to do a decent job for more normal situations; but as we've seen, much that has happened of late isn't exactly 'normal', even by their standards. And even among us Moonblessed...we have civilians that needs protection, even as they do what they can to help us in our battles, and to aid the community at large.
[Eyes snap open with clear determination as he looks up at the monitor once again.]
For those who are interested, I am willing to offer some lessons in self-defense. No weapon training - just some hand-to-hand basics so that you can fend off a threat long enough to go get to safety, or to even neutralize a lesser threat, such as an armed robber. There'll be no payment required, since this is meant to be an offer for the greater good.
That said, if there are those like me who are trained in more than that? I would recommend starting up some teamwork building exercises. And not just among those from your home, either. If we are to face whatever future threats there may be, we need to be able to better work together as a cohesive unit. Magic users should consider teaming up with those who prefer more mechanical means of fighting, for example.
And finally, I do want to take a page out of a certain teenage scholar's book: Information gathering. We need to pool our intellectual resources, both of mystical and scientific forms. We're luck that the local government still favors us, so let's use that to our advantage. Let's see if we can't get the officials to let us help them find whatever information they need for what lies ahead, and visa versa.
[He pauses for a brief moment.]
...Feel free to respond back to be however you wish. But know this - unless we figure out how to work and rise up together, we're going to fall apart...all of us.
[And just like that, the video appears to cut off to the public.]
~Video, Private to castmates (Minus Ardyn)~
[But instead, he shifts the security mode on his device to filter to feed only to those like him, who hale from Eos. Well, most of them. Even after saying such things, he's highly reluctant to include a certain 'chancellor' in everything still.]
Your Majesties...
Prompto, Ignis, Gladio...
We need to strongly consider holding regular drills and sparring sessions ourselves - preferably in the morning. Talk to me regarding whenever each of you are available, and I can start setting up the training schedule for us.

As important as your duties are, I don't want you to risk any other jobs you might have at the moment just for basic sparring.

As for team-building, it's not really of use to people who aren't skilled in the subjects that require it already. Some people also work better alone.
When push comes to shove, people figure that out on their own and don't need trust exercises to save their own hides.

I won't argue against the latter. I've seen it multiples times in my lifetime - almost too many times to count. And it's true that sometimes, one person can be much more effective than with a large-scale unit, or even an army.
But even though I myself have grown used to working alone much of the time, I would be a fool to think that one can do so all the time. Especially if I have need of some magic, or some scientific know-how to help deal with whatever obstacle is at hand. I am no sorceror, nor am I a scientist. It doesn't hurt to seek out those who are in those cases.

It's something you can only learn as you go. While you can train and learn techniques and become stronger, it can take years for someone without muscle to gain anything I'd personally consider formidable. Still, it doesn't hurt to offer basic training and ways to prevent capture and ways to escape or dodge. There are some that are effective regardless, though I'm not quite sure how much they might be against magical monsters. It's an entirely different playing field when the rules seem to keep shifting.
I'm good with weapons and if you know a man that goes by Engineer, he can probably cover what I can't and has all the technological know-how.
I already offer a free trial for my first session with someone, but I don't mind a change in schedule if you have creating a regular group in mind?

I had a lot of... let's say "learn-on-the-spot" sorta self-defense. But if you're offering I'd be pretty interested in some actual basics.
I take it that you've been thrust into a terrible situation back 'home', then?
Either way, I would be pleased to help you better defend yourself.
What's your name? And when might you be available?

Rochelle. You can call me Ro, if you want. What about you?
Oh! And, uh... you free this weekend?

But if necessary, an emergency defense force wouldn't be out of the question, if it would help protect the civilians here - both native and Moonblessed.

What if someone doesn't know anything about self-defense?
Can they still do that training of yours?
text; un: lionoflucis
Of course. In fact, they would be the kind of person that needs it the most.

what sort of teambuilding exercises/ i know how to use weapons. i've taught anyone else before though.
[ Since Xion mostly figured it out on her own due to her connection to him. ]
but i want to do what i can to help protect against future threats

Tactics training - figuring out which kind of person needs to be up front, how to figure out who to deploy where in the midst of battle, and so forth
Switching up with different weapons for special attack maneuvers
Figuring out how to cover each other's weak spots and better mesh your fighting styles - either ahead of time, or on the fly.
Things like that.
It's a noble reason, and I wouldn't mind anyone willing to seek further training. Just be aware that I have no intentions of going easy on you.
What kind of weapons do you normally use?

You've an astounding skill of leadership, as always, Marshall. Thank you for offering your services. I'm sure the populace will benefit greatly not simply from this guidance but our gathered support as well.
I am more than willing to cooperate with your efforts in regards to regular training. The public kitchen's opening hours remain at noon, which allows me spare time in the morning for whatever arrangements you wish to make.
( voice )
Flattery will get you anywhere, Ignis.
But you're right. I do hope it'll be a great boon as well, on both accounts.
Excellent. Prompto already informed me of his availability, and Regis agreed on mornings as well.
[A brief, yet thoughtful pause.]
...you think Noctis might be willing to give morning sessions another try?

[ He's not only referring to his constant run-ins with Ardyn but also the chaos that claimed Lunatia a few weeks past. Regis has noticed a pattern here and he's not liking it all. ]
We must be prepared to endure whatever may come next, Cor. That much is certain.
Therefore, I am willing to part with my mornings for the sake of reclaiming my former grandeur.
[ Yes, he's hellbent in joining this training session. It's nothing short of a miracle that Regis' health has done a full turnabout since arriving here in Lunatia. It might have something to do with his link to the Crystal being severed. ]
text; un: lionoflucis
Agreed, Regis. I'll keep that in mind.
Though I will need to see how much you've recovered since your arrival here first, if you don't mind. After all, it would be poor form if you're relegated to just flinging spells instead of adding your own swordsmanship into the fray, as you have done before.
[Because someone has to do it, since...well, since their dear friend and Regis' Shield isn't here to do it for him.]

Why preferably in the morning?
[ Don't do your prince dirty like that, Cor........ ]

Because it's better to get your training out of the way before going off to whatever day jobs we may have.
And it helps wake you up in the process.

I have found myself interested in joining forces with others to understand this place and assist its community, but I have yet to figure out how to effectively organize with others due to my recent arrival.

Do you at least have some familiarity with a weapon? Any weapon, even if it's just a kick or a fist?

If you're offering lessons in self-defense, would you be willing to take another student? Ahaha? [And there's that quirk, though her slightly embarrassed expression might suggest that she wasn't necessarily laughing out of humor.]
I actually have had enough training with a gun, though I don't really know much about hand-to-hand combat at all. And though I can use a gun, I realize it's not always acceptable to carry one around, heheh...
