How does one meet the needs of a living child?
Do they require a place to sleep?
Things to eat?
What else should be given to them?
Thank you for any assistance given in the responses.

Different species require different kinds of care, so for more specific dietary needs and other things, the Lunatia library might have some information that would be useful to you.

There are these things people use for cats called "soft paws" that are used primarily for when the cat is indoors and they don't want the cat to claw furniture or people. It's essentially a coating that goes around the sharpened edge and rounds it off so that the cat may do what's natural, but will not do harm. I wonder if something like that might help the clawing issue, at least.

I don't know of an option for remote access. Is there someone you trust to babysit your young dragon in your absence?

But you'll need to go out sometimes, and with all of us, there is the possibility we'll be sent back home at any point. It might be good for the dragon child to spend some time with others you trust. Maybe they could play a game while you went to the library.

You're welcome. In my world, dragons are mythical creatures, but they are similar enough to lizards in terms of physical traits, which is why I suggested warmth. It would be a good idea to determine if your dragon child is a carnivore, omnivore or herbivore.

Given their propensity for chewing on anyone and anything they can get away with, they may simply enjoy biting. Or be teething.

It's very common with human children, and with puppies as well. When a human family adopts a puppy, acquiring appropriate things for the puppy to chew on becomes necessary if one wants to avoid having their shoes and other personal things chewed on.

You're welcome. Good luck with the little one. Perhaps you could go to a butcher shop and see if they have any bones they can spare for your young dragon to chew on.
