So, it turns out that something hilarious can happen here if you decide to celebrate your birthday here based on "how long you've been alive" instead of just what the calendar date says because the month was different back home when you first got pulled into a different world.
So yep, forgot my eighteenth birthday was on Monday. Which is dumb, because I remembered last year's, but apparently I put the reminder on this thing wrong and it didn't repeat it this year.
But anyway, enough about me being dumb about my birthday, being here for two of them made me think of something.
Just how many of us who are here have actually been here for over a year? I mean, I know there's some of us, but I don't think many of us have mentioned it before.
And... well... is anyone else here not sure what they'd do if they were given a choice about going home, instead of just vanishing and showing up back there?
[She meant that last question more for those of them who have been here a while, but really there's no reason to limit it to just them. There's probably plenty of reasons that someone who just got here would want to stay rather than go home, after all. ]

I'm at about 10 months, myself.
If I was given the choice to go back to my world, I think I would be more likely to instead request that the people there be brought here. But then you broach the subject of bringing people against their own will, that kind of thing.
Overall an odd situation.

[ Don't get her wrong, if her Dad showed up here she'd basically have no reason to want to leave, but she wouldn't want to bring him here just because she missed him.]

Earth is destroyed and currently in nuclear winter with a nebulous at best future.
So I would say despite everything in this place, it's still better than the alternative.

And I get the whole 'bringing people here against their will thing' if you were given a choice to do it, but somehow I don't think most people would complain too much to be free from there.

I don’t think Vincent would mind, necessarily.
But I also don’t want to decide for him.
I don’t know if they’d allow two more autoreivs with their free will either, which is also an issue.

... What's an autoreiv?

Like an android, from what I've gathered in other conversations. They are purely for service to citizens, in their iteration.
I don't know if you have anything comparable, in your world.

[No. 18 doesn't count. She's a cyborg. Totally different. ]
I don't see why having more than one of them here would be something the Prismals would be against though. At the very least the government seems to be fine with everyone if we're not causing trouble.
