So, it turns out that something hilarious can happen here if you decide to celebrate your birthday here based on "how long you've been alive" instead of just what the calendar date says because the month was different back home when you first got pulled into a different world.

So yep, forgot my eighteenth birthday was on Monday. Which is dumb, because I remembered last year's, but apparently I put the reminder on this thing wrong and it didn't repeat it this year.

But anyway, enough about me being dumb about my birthday, being here for two of them made me think of something.

Just how many of us who are here have actually been here for over a year? I mean, I know there's some of us, but I don't think many of us have mentioned it before.

And... well... is anyone else here not sure what they'd do if they were given a choice about going home, instead of just vanishing and showing up back there?

[She meant that last question more for those of them who have been here a while, but really there's no reason to limit it to just them. There's probably plenty of reasons that someone who just got here would want to stay rather than go home, after all. ]

You too? I'm in the same boat, really. Though if this place counts "home" as the last place I was at before here then if I have a choice to stay or leave I am not leaving. The last place was terrible.

Yeah, I'm fine. Was really tired for the first week of the month though.

Maybe I got really lucky. The last place for ME was pretty great, other than the whole world-was-ending part. We managed to stop that from happening anyway.

Total hell hole. Just as sex focused as here, only there the government was doing more than just encouraging it.

[ She pauses for a moment when she gets that other message, cheeks going red a bit before she actually answers him.]

Yeah. There... was. I'm not entirely sure how that whole thing worked though and if there was a specific, uh... 'father'. That week was ridiculously busy for me.

[ She probably shouldn't have to explain what 'busy' meant in this case.]

Oh wait! They were forcing people to pair off and giving one of them the leash, right? I've met a few people from there already

They all think this place is an improvement too.

[Unfortunately, he knew all too well. And her guess was as good as his, really. There's another bit of hesitation before his next question.]

Yep. I think that's the only other sex focused world that's pulling people into it. Or if it's not, then I haven't met anyone from any other one.

I don't have any major regrets. Just that my clothes got torn off.

... And that we did it outside, but only because we got stuck. And because of the trail I left after we finished.

At least they're coming to someplace better, right?

Oh yeah, sometimes I kinda forget that people here aren't always used to that happening, especially the humans. And I can get you a new pair of clothes if you need.

Nah, I'm good. Already replaced them.

[Thankfully, even back home she wasn't really into buying stupidly expensive clothes just for the sake of it so they weren't that expensive. ]

Yeah, I'm a martial artist. I'm not sure what I'd do with most of my time if I weren't training.

And it felt great for me too, btw.
