[Maybe you were out and about today or otherwise just minding your business on a quiet and uneventful day like any other in the aftermath of the attack of the jellyfish.

When your network device turns on, an unexpected video feed from a name of a fellow Moonblessed.

There's no such moonblessed on screen, though! Just a conspicuous ball of fluff. After a moment of shuffling and what sounds like rumbling, out of nowhere… SUDDENLY…!]

[You see a cute little kitty's face. She can't be a moonblessed as Cordis is not visible, so she must belong to someone. Whoever it may be is not on screen but that won't stop the cat from greeting the network with the tiniest:]

Mew, mew! Meoooow!!

[She's very talkative. But where is her owner? Will you let him know of this cheeky cat deciding she wanted a spotlight? Or do you just want to talk to the kitty. Either is fine since it doesn't seem like he's in the room or even aware of what's happening.]

(( ooc: First few (two to three at max) responses will have exclusively kitty until Takame shows up, after that point Takame will start to answer immediately. I hope you enjoyed this picture of cat today. ))

[Oh, little kitty didn't expect to see someone else, so now she's surprised!! Her tail even poofed a bit, but after not too long she calms and instead looks at Megumi curiously with ears perked up.]

Mrow?

[ She wishes she spoke cat. If only miqo'te and cats had a common tongue! For now, she pokes at the screen ]

Hello to you too! You're clever aren't you? Turning this device on by yourself. Don't get into trouble, now!!

[ The cat had better not break their owner's device! ]

[Well she may not speak cat but she has this one's attention. Or rather, her ears have her attention.

Enough that now she's sniffing at the device zoomed in so close you can barely see anything but shade. Or is that just the specks on her nose?]

Mrh. [She backed up but her wet nose might have obscured the view a bit.] Mrrrow.

[ Cute!! She flicks her ears at it, playful as she brings her face close as though she could bump noses with the kitty. ]

You're so cute! I want to kiss you!! But you should go find your friend, you know. What if they're looking for their device?

[ And an ear wiggle! That's somehow communicating, too! ]

[Well with two faces touching the screen nothing is gonna be seen.

But those ears! She wants to get them!! But putting her paw against the screen isn't letting her touch them!! Foiled!

After another curious sniff sniff sniff accompanied by another chirp, the silly cat started licking the screen. That's not food!

There is a shuffling from the other room, though. Maybe someone IS home after all?]

[ Nope, but it does mean she gets to witness this adorable sight in full glory!! She giggles, moving her face back as she watches, when-

The sounds besides the licking make her ears flick up. ]

Okay, beautiful, as much as I love your tongue, I think there's someone who'll worry.

[ And she calls- ]

Hello!! Someone there?

[Someone is there indeed, someone who heard a voice he didn't recognize and from a short distance can be heard asking "Who's there?"

A few moments pass where its seemingly quiet as Takame approached with sword in hand off camera but then he saw his...guest and immediately disarmed.]

What…?

[Said to the kitten whose attention turned entirely to him with an elated chirp.]

How did you get in here? [It was now that he glanced at his device and saw it turned on.] Ah.

[ Her eyes widen when she sees the figure coming in- as best as she can, with the kitten in the way, sword and all! Her ears lift as she exclaims. ]

An au ra! And a beautiful one!!

[ okay damn. ]

So this little angel is yours? Figures a pretty kitty would have a pretty friend!

... Thank you? [How astute. An odd greeting for her to start with, but then he wasn't an expert at... conversation.

Not that the compliment was unappreciated. Ah, another Miqo'te though.]

Mine...? Ah, no, she... ["Meow!! Meowww!!!" from the kitty, fussing because she's CLEARLY not getting enough attention and is taking it into her own hands by burying herself under his hand.

Meanwhile he looked her over with no small amount of confusion.] ... She must have followed me.

[ Nah she just enjoys good looks. That just makes her laugh, though. ]

Looks like she wants to be yours, anyroad.

[ Her ears wiggle playfully. ]

You should get her a nice basket, or box! And some soft meaty treats. And toys! Oh, and something to brush her— it is a "her", right?

It is a female cat, yes. [Don't make him prove it. And also wow that's a lot of stuff give him a minute to process it all.]

Oh good, then she also needs loving attention, too. And don't declaw her either.

[ Stare. But, her ears wiggle once more! ]

Now how did I miss such a pretty au ra, here? Everyone I run into is usually xaela! What's your name, lad?

I understand. Thank you... I will keep all of this in mind.

[He'll take what advice he can get, but he's already giving her a lot of attention now that she's basking in.

There's a tilt of his head at her mention of Xaela, to his knowledge he'd been the only Au Ra here. Something to keep in mind for later on, perhaps.]

[What has glowing green eyes, bright red hair, and spooky-looking fangs? Yoshimitsu, of course. He peers into the screen of his phone and stares at the delightful furball who appeared.]

...Takame, is that you?

[Out of all the absurdities he's witnessed here in Lunatia, Takame being turned into a little cat wouldn't be too farfetched.]

[No, it is not Takame. For one Takame wouldn't greet Yoshimitsu by backing away from his image like the little kitty! Masked or not!

She doesn't go closer right away, but when she does she swats her paw at Takame's device with a small thump!]

Mew...

[That's definitely not Takame! The cat's reaction certainly proves that much.

Yoshimitsu chuckles lightly as the cat smacks the screen. Maybe he shouldn't wear this right now. The poor thing is terrified.]

Oh, it ran...!

[Even though he's certain the cat won't be coming any closer, he still takes off his mask anyway.]

Nya, nya?

[He's trying to coax her over.]

[Oh no she's not letting her guard down that easy Mr. Mask! In fact she thumps the screen again and behind her her tail is thumping against what seems to be a table.

Yoshimitsu might notice the view shift to the left slightly. Then once more.

Before he knows he he'll be looking at the legs of the table as kitty knocked the device down onto the floor.]

Meow? Mrow...? [Well. At least she'll jump back down and sniff at the view, but it's upside down.] Mrh.

[Is he really that scary? Yoshimitsu doesn't know whether to laugh or cry. This certainly wouldn't be the first animal who dislikes him. As much as he loves cats, none of them seem to like him.]

Be nice! That's Takame's phone---[He pauses momentarily once she knocked the phone off the table. Hopefully, she didn't crack it.]

Takame? Where are you?

Mrrrrow? [Well, at least she's sounding more accommodating now. She doesn't like that mask one bit, but she's fine now that she and her Excellent Cat Sense Behind A Screen(tm) has decided he wasn't mean so she's moved to grooming herself instead.

Thankfully she didn't crack it, but hearing it fall on the floor definitely caught Takame's attention. Well, that and Yoshimitsu's unmistakable voice.]

What in the hells...? [It's faded due to distance. And proximity. But that's definitely Takame's voice. His footsteps could be heard getting closer, but one couldn't tell he was right there until the cat's attention turned to him.] Mrrow!

[One fuzzy leg goes up and suddenly Yoshimitsu has a front-row seat to a show he didn't ask for. He lets out a disgusted sigh as he purposely glances away. As much as he likes cats, he finds that to be gross. Just how can they lick themselves like that? Why?!]

Ick.

[He peeks down at the screen once he hears Takame's voice.]

Ah, there you are! Your new friend is quite feisty.

[Hey at least she had the decency to turn around. She's a cat what do you want from her.

Of course her supposed owner didn't make a comment otherwise, only sighing before picking the device up and putting it onto the table again.

Now in full view, he doesn't look angry with the cat, but he certainly doesn't seem too pleased with her batting his belongings from high points. Him not being angry is rare considering Sanguis was in view, but only waxing. And how could someone get mad at something so cute?]

She followed me here...

[He can't help but chuckle at Takame's expense. Leave it to him wander outside somewhere and suddenly return with a noisy stray.]

So she adopted you.

[Typical cat stuff. Even the cats in Sengoku Japan act accordingly.]

Better make suitable lodgings for your roommate. I doubt she'll leave any time soon.

[You better keep her, Takame.]

So it would seem. [At least he's not denying it. Perhaps he should avoid the Ware Wolf Shop in the future lest he goes home with another cat following him.

At least he could have the occasional nostalgic tune now.]

Well, if you... insist. [But well, you see.] I've never owned a cat before...

Never? Well, you're in luck!

[Very lucky, indeed. Cats might not like Yoshimitsu but he certainly likes cats. He knows everything about these little furry monsters. Well, almost everything. Cats are rather mysterious.]

Cats are rather easy to please. Often all you need is just some food, water and maybe a stick or two.

[The stick is for playing with the cat.]

... Is it-- ah--. ["What are you doing?" is mumbled at the kitten while she circled around and between his legs. But he continued.]

Is it really that simple? [He's asking very honestly, he has no clue what do to.

Meanwhile kitty is up to something off screen, barely visible behind Takame's leg.]

[ titus makes cat hands at the screen!! and answers immediately!! (actually how is he making cat hands and holding the device at the same time....? don't worry about it.) ]

Meow!!!

Mroow? [Well, the cat doesn't know how he's doing it but she is sniffing the screen trying to find out.

When sniffing doesn't seem to work she raises one paw ready to try and touch his hands!!

But then the device is dragged away from her by Takame who is halfway in view from behind her tiny body.]

Please don't knock it down again.

Ah—

[ if the cat had managed to touch his hand (on the screen), titus feels as though they might have communed on a deep, mystical level... but he shouldn't act too disappointed. it's not this gentleman's fault. ]

Are you and this cat acquainted, sir?

[She's already knocked his phone down once. Or three times. As cats do. But even as he dragged the screen away she just moved back to it and kept on with her sniffing.]

... Something like that. She followed me here and does not wish to leave.

[He laughs lightly at the unexpected sound, after his device plays the video.]

I suppose I'll have to catch up, if even someone like you can use this so easily.

[Though now he hopes this isn't a person making convincing cat noises.]

Mrh, mrrrrew.

[She was clearly very pleased with herself. There's the sound of her weight dropping to the floor while she circled contently around her owners legs.

The owner who sounds distinctly not like a cat nor like any of those tiny meows.]

I believe she may have began the broadcast by stepping on it... Ah, but that is impressive in itself, I suppose. [Almost as impressive as her getting into his apartment without being detected.]

[The person comes as a surprise, but he doesn't pause for long.]

Simply had to speak to everyone, it sounds like. Is she your pet?

[Spending most of his time wandering far away from the big cities, he traveled through many a town without even a scrap to spare for even stray animals. And he'd never had a pet before...]

[She's still speaking to everyone, even from below her mews come through. Clearly much louder than her soft spoken new owner.]

It would seem she is now... she refuses to leave. [He doesn't sound upset about that, but he also doesn't sound thrilled.

Really though he was just confused.]

[Just the sound of the cat can bring a smile to his face-- not that it's too difficult to do that.]

It sounds more like she's chosen you to be hers! Perhaps she senses that you'll be good to her.

[Reminds him a little of a companion of his own, back home. Certainly not a pet, but how people tend to attract others to them when they least expect it.]

I confess I cannot see where she got that impression... I've little experience with house pets. [The kind of animals he DID have experience with are a lot less friendly than a stray cat. Or, not so stray anymore.]

Ah, but so long as she stays I will do all I can for her... [A rather adamant "mrow!" can be heard as soon as that declaration is made. Almost like she knows he's likely to spoil her.]

At least in a place like this, information is a lot more easy to find about anything. I'm sure you will do right by her. It might be nice to find a pet of my own, to make my place more lively as well... I might almost feel jealous.

Indeed. I've received a fair amount of advice from others since she sought to broadcast. There are a number of knowledgeable individuals about. [For all his... issues with the realm at least there's that. Of course now she's decided to jump back on the table so her purring is much easier to hear now.

Especially when she bumps her head into the device.]

Ah-- don't... do that now...

That's good, then. But I'm sure you'll figure out the rest as you need.

[He holds back any question of what she's doing, not really liking to call attention to the reason why he chooses the voice option over the video one for his side of the feed.

With a laugh, he starts to consider what it'd be like to have such a silly, demanding cat. Though he somewhat already knows in the form of a human roommate.]
