[Lunatia's resident centaur lady is back on screen, and this time she's sharing the spotlight with... a table full of fresh vegetables? Still a bit dirty, fresh from the soil, good ol' vegetables... That Konoha bows over to start out.]
Hello, everyone! My name is Konoha... I'm a jinba, or a "centaur" if you want... I'm from Echigo in Japan, but lots of people say I'm from the past...
[She's just going to do the same introduction every time, counting off details on her fingers to make sure she gets all the good points... there's too many people on this thing and she doesn't check it enough to keep track... oops. Anyway-]
I wanted to ask people some questions about food! My husband and I have set up a little farmstead, but the crops are growing, um, way faster than they really ought to be... [we're just going to speed past the blush] and it's not like we actually have to work for money here, so I was thinking of not just taking the crops to market but... serving meals at the house? Or sending them to people elsewhere in the city? I don't know, but I've met a lot of people here who said they just eat food from the stores, and I know those are really convenient, but it can't be better than a home cooked meal, can it?

[Look at this big turnip! Isn't it healthy looking?! Don't you just want to eat it?? Konoha smiles, making the root vegetable dance around the screen.]
So... can I ask you some questions about what sort of food you like? Or what kind of things you miss from your home? Maybe what they make in your country with vegetables? If you give me some of your time, I'll send you some fresh ones as a "thank you"-
Promise!
[One last bow... and she and the turnip sign off.]

video.
I think we're both familiar with a lot of Japanese cuisine, but roasted or caramelized vegetables are good for this time of year! Though my favorite is bitter melon stir fry.

[She goes diving into her harvest table and comes back with... a slightly bigger turnip!]
Is bitter melon the wrinkly one from the south? I don't have much experience cooking that one... You're such an adult, Ryuunosuke!
[Liking bitter foods? Such a man.]

That's the one! They look pretty alarming at first, but they're delicious. I think it's just that they're so prominent where I'm from that I got used to it, you know?
[ a hum. ]
Have you tried skewers, maybe?
no subject
Skewers of vegetables? I usually do rice or meat for those, but I guess those would be convenient to hold just as well, huh...
Do you like salt or sauce?
no subject
Sauce! A lot of the sauces that taste good on salads taste great on grilled vegetables too, I think? Mixing the vegetables with meat on the skewer is something my younger brothers like a lot.

[But now she wants to try it...]
So put some eggplants on with the fish, that kind of thing?

[ he's here for some fusion cuisine. ]
And yeah! Mushrooms and beef, scallions and chicken -
I'm making myself hungry, haha.

[For a second there she thought he was talking about using that white “ranch” stuff... or the “blue cheese”, which she has some doubts about...]
Haha, yeah, me too... I should have realized that would happen!
[She gives the turnip a few pats. Pat pat.]
Maybe it’s time to experiment with some of those skewers...
no subject
Let me know how it goes! I've been experimenting with making sauces and marinades in bulk lately [ because his apartment complex is filled with people who can't cook so suddenly he found himself in need for all this food he's making?? ] so I can always bring you some!
no subject
Wow, really? What’s your best kind? I want to try that one!
no subject
Hmm, well... I don't know if I'm qualified to say what's best, but I think the miso sauce always comes out really well!
no subject
How about you bring that, and I'll prepare the skewers, then! We can have a tasting... and get lots of opinions!
no subject
That's a great idea. Just say the word! I have some sweet potatoes I've been safekeeping and meaning to roast, too... it'll be like a food party.
no subject
[She’s hungry now! This is your fault!]
1/2
[ how literal! ]
no subject
Okay then, I hear you, loud and clear! Homemade miso sauce, coming right up.

[for tasting!!!]
