{He is sprawled and glorious in a way few can mimic. Elves! His hand rests on a blue egg while a second, silver egg, rests in his lap. His children.}

What can I expect - {A hesitation and he smiles, thinly, coolly.} What can we expect when these hatch?

{Who is "we"? Don't ask.}

Furthermore, though this feels like the wrong time to do so, allow me to introduce myself: I am Thranduil, Elven-King of the Woodland Realm.

{The rings on his fingers tap against the eggshells; he could crush them, bare-handed and usually he would be tempted with anything regarding Dragons. However...

These are his, Dragons or not.}

[ the video opens with a man sitting at a desk. he paints quite an odd picture - looks to be in his mid-thirties, with long dark hair, wearing a black vest with a white shirt under it, rolled up to his elbows. odd tattoos cover his arms and move up the front of his neck as well.

he clears his throat, and a deep voice speaks. ]

Good evening. For those of you who don't know me, my name is V.

I'm looking for people interested in a wine and arts night. Specifically, right now I'm seeking those willing to work as instructors for painting, drawing, and other such mediums, for a modest group of people. I can provide the supplies for such hosting, as well as the space. I'm even prepared to provide monetary pay if that's a sticking point for performing the instructing.

I'm also seeking people willing to pose as models, once I've secured the instructors. And of course, knowing what kind of interest people would have in attending such a thing.

[ he reaches a hand up to brush his hair back. it's starting to get long; someone should tell him about hair bands. ]

I'm looking to host this at least once a month. We seem to lack an entry level experience for the art forms here, and I'd like to change that. And I don't think most people would turn up a chance for some good wine.

[ he smirks a bit. ]

You can respond to this post or contact me privately. [ he provides his contact information. ]

( It has taken Rita most of the time she's spent in Lunatia thus far to understand enough of this 'technology' to send out a broadcast. She's not the type to let such a little hurdle as unfamiliarity get in the way of reporting the news, and she is glad to announce her success with her very first article! )

UNDEAD YET DEADLY

The inhabitants of Lunatia might seem an uncouth lot, with their scales and their horns and other extraneous appendages. However, the natives of this world appear positively genteel when compared to who, or should I say, what walks amongst us, attempting to blend quietly into the shadows. Fortunately, I, Rita Skeeter, freelance journalist-for-hire, am here to shed light on the situation.

The Moonblessed by the name of ‘Ambrosine’, is a self-confessed practitioner of the Dark Arts. She is also known to post on this network under the alias of ‘undyingsoul’, which should tell you everything you need to know already. If you still require an explanation, know this: every magical child from the youngest of ages is taught that death is permanent. Any individual who attempts to meddle with mortality is faced with a fate worse than death: the eternal corruption of the soul.

Why does this matter, you might ask?

article continues under the cut )

( After the main text in the article, smaller lettering reads: if you have leads which require any further investigation, or any information you would like me to know, please contact me here.

The name, again, is Rita Skeeter.

[ Just because it's probably afternoon doesn't mean a man can't still be in his pajamas. And smoking at the same time. These are normal things for a man that usually works all hours. He can't be blamed for habits picked up from the chaotic life of the leader of a Supernatural Special Investigation Team.

Don't judge.

He lets out a big sigh and scratches the stubble on his chin with his thumbnail. ]

Ah... so, I didn't expect my bathroom to be haunted today. Can I borrow someone's shower?

Please forgive my curiosity, but I have heard about 'the season' and 'Halloween' a few times over the network, and since neither the time seems relevant to where I come from, nor the name familiar - would anyone care to explain what these two are about?

Thank you for your time.

[ He's pretty sure, from what he's observed, that there are more than a few people who might want to know the answer. And especially a certain someone is not likely to ask unless it becomes important. Probably. And he's even being polite about it. ]

I will not hide my identity nor pretend these words are not attached to me. There were men who thought I committed many wrongs before I came here. One man held me accountable and spared me nothing besides a lingering death, which leads me to my question: in your estimation, are there any crimes that are unforgivable?

What a common man or woman cannot - should not - do, a king or a queen can do for the good of their people, correct? Great sacrifices are expected in battle - in war - however do you think that a ruler's life should be forfeit for them? What good can they do if they are slain prematurely?

I can admit when I am wrong, but on this...

I don't understand.

I guess there's no way to ask this that doesn't sound like a philosophy major trying to do their thesis at the last second so...

There's a lot of hero types here. You rush in to help when something happens and don't even think about it. I'd say that makes you good people.

Do you (or all of us here, I guess) think it's possible, if someone really tries, to start being a good person? Even if you've done horrible things? Like really, really bad things. Does the reason you did them matter?

Or maybe we're just meant to be bad and trying to pretend otherwise.

[ ...wow this sounds so much more melodramatic than he intended. ]

[ The words are spoken with a lingering, loving attention. Every syllable is caressed by the tongue and lips before being allowed out. There's even a slight pause between words that makes the sentence measured and slow, like someone reading a line from an erotic novel. ]

You are now aware of your tongue.
