Good afternoon, everyone. Hopefully everyone slept well last night?

[ ... Okay, he knows that's a very awkward way to start a network post, but he does need advice and it might become more personal than he'd care to admit, so how does he...? ]

I'm doing fine myself, but I can't stop thinking of some of those painful nightmares I had last week. This is strange, considering I don't usually recall what I dream about... And I think my dreams had to do with my father?

Did anyone else dream of personal things of that sort? Is there a dream interpreter I should speak to?

Any help would be appreciated.

Hello, this is Dr. Daniel Dickens from the Second Nature Clinic. For those who are new here, I work as a therapist there, so if there is anyone in need of treatment and have been unable to find what you're looking for at the hospital, you're welcome to find me there and I'll see what I can do to help. However, I didn't come here just to make an advertisement: there's something I haven't had happen before during one of these cycles, despite being here for... almost a year, apparently.

So I had some questions for people who have experienced this particular sort of trait for the Iris cycle, regarding... well. The one that involves having tentacles like an octopus. ... And before anyone says anything, no, it didn't replace you-know-what like I've seen some people mention on here before. They're somewhere entirely different, and currently preventing me from doing so much as taking a drink without it ending up on my person...or being able to speak at all, actually.

So maybe it's not questions I need answered so much as advice on how to deal with them. And hopefully not suffocate to death at some point before the cycle is over either.

I would first and foremost like to extend my gratitude to those who reside here. Most I have spoken to have been informative, accommodating and I know I am not alone in feeling a sense of reassurance in such things. There seems to be a sense of camaraderie and it is good to know that no matter how many new people arrive here there will be those to help pick them up.

So I shall take advantage of such generosity once again and ask two more questions, ones that could be considered personal so please do not feel obligated to answer.

[Zed isn't in the best of moods since another person he cared for disappeared, so he's taken to drink. Not that the alcohol has ever helped him, but it has him thinking about home...and some not so pleasant business back there.]

There's an item back home that operates like the Chinese gu. Except instead of venomous creatures, you insert humans. It is said that once the ritual is complete, it will lead to the destruction of the world.

The humans inside are forced to kill each other and mix together until becoming one being. The skin disappears while the skeleton, muscles, and organs fuse together. They're neither dead nor alive because of the magic that binds them.

Let's say the item broke, and a part of the conglomerate was separated from the whole. The humans that make up this "specimen" are children. Do you destroy it to prevent the ritual from being completed?
