Depends on the kind of pain, the severity of it. Since there's physical pain and emotional/psychological pain. Not to mention the reason can be important, too, since some people are into that?

Anyway.

The latter tends to be worse than the former sometimes because while physical scars can heal easier, proverbial ones are harder to deal with.

That's a pretty generalized subject, isn't it? There's always the kind of pain and what brings it on to consider when thinking on it.

Temporary pain doesn't feel like much of anything at all, but something that's a mix of physical and psychological can have an interesting effect.

Is temporary pain like that no matter how intense? Does it have to have a mix to result in an "interesting effect"?

Pain is a form of pleasure, isn't it?

Beyond that, a world without pain would be dull indeed. Pain, suffering, misery... they're all horrible things that humans must push through, but I don't believe that the world is beautiful in spite of those things. I believe it's beautiful because of those things. They add to growth, don't they? They make the warm moments warmer, don't they?

Well, that's my opinion given such a widely ranged question, at least.

But emotional pain can't be described the right way in words
Just words aren't intense enough

it's easy to ignore if you've got the tolerance for it.
of course there's variants of pain so it can "hurt" or "feel good" depending on the situation, but in general rather than pick a side i'd rather go with neither; temporary or permanent, i just wanna forget it happened all together the moment it happens and carry on!

are you trying to figure out what could hurt a person more? like losing a limb vs losing a loved one or whatever.
